5 Steps to Water Conservation

The Crown 'Save Water Wheel's' 5 steps' enables us to measure, reduce, collect and recycle our precious water resources. And finally by talking about how we conserve water, we are assisting other organisations - and you - to think about how you too can have an impact.

Water Wheel showing the 5 steps to water conservation. Installation of property-wide metering systems identified opportunities for savings. Flow restrictors in hotels, production kitchens and toilets reduced water consumption significantly. Rainwater harvesting systems now collect millions of litres of water annually for irrigation and toilets. Fountains, landscaping, laundry and toilet applications are all supplied by recycled water. Employee education programs, receiving water grants and public presentations provide opportunities to lead and inspire

Our results so far

Since 2005 we have reduced our water consumption by nearly 25%.
