The Waste Management Story
We have worked with the restaurants at Crown to introduce a collection capability that would enable us to collect food scraps and turn them into organic compost.

Organic Compost
Our results so far
Since 1997 we have been collecting cardboard, plastic and paper from across Crown and in 2004, began composting. By 2006 close to 40% of all Crown waste was recycled.Crown staff are working to separate waste for recycling. In 2009 the recycling of organic waste has doubled.
The future of Waste Management
There are more opportunities for composting and increasing our recycling effort by influencing the supply chain with the support of our business partners. We have commenced on this ambitious journey and the results will be significant.
